The Rogue Basin Salmon Watch program is a K–12, field trip–based program that brings watershed education to students in both Jackson and Josephine counties. This fall, the program ran from mid-September through the end of the first full week of November 2025. During this time, nearly 1,500 students from 29 schools had the opportunity to learn about salmon, macroinvertebrates, water quality, and riparian areas from 37 instructors. These instructors represented a diverse group of local, state, and federal agencies, as well as nonprofit and outdoor education organizations. We extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped bring this program to our students, including the instructors, teachers, chaperones, bus drivers, and—most importantly—the students who participated and enjoyed their field trips.
