Keeping all of the events that have happened so far this year in mind, what would we have done without water?
Hospitals, health clinics, urgent care facilities, and other medical offices would have had to shut down, and in the face of the pandemic, this would have caused complete turmoil.
Firefighters and other first responders would not have had water to put out fires, which would have amplified our already devastating fire season.
The agricultural industry would have suffered major crop losses during this drought year, in which we relied heavily on irrigation water.
Industrial manufacturing of products dependent on the use of water would have halted.
Not to mention the daily inconveniences that pale in comparison to the abovementioned catastrophes, such as making coffee, taking showers, brushing teeth, flushing toilets, and doing laundry.
This year, reflect on your daily usage of water and how convenient it is, for most of us in the United States, to simply turn on the tap and have access to clean drinking water.

What is Imagine a Day Without Water?
Imagine a Day Without Water is a national education campaign to engage stakeholders, public officials, and the general public about how water is essential, invaluable, and needs investment.
