Willow Staking: Coleman Creek and Bear Creek

In collaboration with M&M Services and Rogue Valley Council of Governments, Jackson County Parks is excited to announce the first willow cutting and staking event of 2023. The willow cutting and staking event is on Saturday, January 28, from 9am – 12pm. There will be a variety of activities including trimming branches, cutting stakes to size, digging holes, pounding the stakes into the ground, and trash pick up. The event is best suited for participants 8 and up. We ask that adults do not just drop off kids, but also stay and participate as well.
Muckers or hip waders are recommended, but not required. If you have personal supplies such as pruners, loppers, rubber mallet, bucket, digging bar, gloves etc. please bring them.

We will be meeting at the end of the cul-de-sac of Northridge Terrace where it accesses the Greenway, (mile 17 on the Greenway) and walking south to Coleman Creek. Northridge Terrace is located near 3737 S Pacific Hwy, then go to the to the end of the street.
