The City of Talent, along with Together for Talent, Friends of Wagner Creek, Friends of Bees and Jackson Soil and Water Conservation District (JSWCD) would like to invite you to a work party focused on removal of invasive species along Wagner Creek within the Old Bridge Village development. This project is funded by the JSWCD and is dependent upon volunteer in-kind labor for its success, so please invite all that you think may be interested. This is the first part of a two part project which will include planting as many as 50 large and small shrubs, 6 trees and a lot of Willows and native grasses. We anticipate, the planting would happen in the early spring.
This would be a great time to visit the park, located just off of Talent Ave (on Creekside Way), whether or not you wish to join the invasive species removal party. Volunteers are asked to bring shovel, rake, bucket, pruners and old newspapers, plus snacks and water.
Please park on Talent Avenue as there is very limited parking within the Old Bridge Village development.
If you have questions or would like more information, please contact Zac Moody at the City of Talent, 541-535-7401 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
